Cadets from 2357 (Goole) Squadron took part in the Inter-Wing Senior Rugby recently. The competition is open to all Air Cadet Wings within the North of England, with the individual Wings selecting their best players to represent them. Due to some Wings only forwarding a Rugby 7’s team and some players being removed for being too old, the completion did not get off to the best of starts. However by the end of the competition the South and West Yorkshire team emerged victorious, winning the overall competition. Both cadets were asked to attend the selection trials for the Region team. If selected for this team, the cadets will represent the North of England against the rest of the country. Cadet Flight Sergeant M Grayson said “It was a good day, to win was great and to be asked to the Region trails made it better”.
Cadet Flight Sergeant M Grayson (17) and Cadet Moles (16) made up the Goole contingent of the South and West Yorkshire Wing Rugby team.
