Goole and Askern Air Cadets recently came together to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund. 6 cadets from the 2 Squadrons, accompanied by Staff and Civilian Committee members set out early one Sunday morning to walk the Howden 20, a circular walk around the Howden area.

The Group met up at Goole Squadron before being transported to Howden town centre to start their walk. Almost 10 hours later, with sore legs and blisters the group returned back to Howden triumphant after completing the walk. Each member of the group had been sponsored for the event, which raised nearly £200. 

 Mrs Osborne, a member of Goole Squadron’s Civilian Committee said “It was nice to spend the day out with the Squadron. The cadets showed a lot of determination in achieving what they did and deserve praise for this”.
