A Little bit about Flt Lt Owen: 

He has been involved with the ATC for some 23 years now. He has always been part of 2357 (Goole) Squadron throughout those years. He has been fortunate enough to serve in every rank the ATC has to offer up from Cadet, to Cadet Warrant, from Adult Warrant Officer to Flight Lieutenant. He gained command of Goole Squadron in March 2006.

 

 

Sergeant (ATC) V Docherty (Squadron Adjutant)

A Little bit about Sergeant Docherty: 

An ex-cadet, attaining the rank of Cadet Sergeant before aging out.  She rejoined the ATC as a CI at East Cleveland Squadron and made her way back to Goole Squadron via a short stop at York Squadron.  Having returned to Goole she has since gone into Uniform as an Adult Sergeant .

 

Often referred to as "Sergeant Ma'am" by the cadets, who seemed to believe that her rank was Ma'am and not CI.  This stuck when she moved into uniform.

 

 

Sergeant (ATC) T Knowles (Squadron Shooting Officer)

 

A Little bit about Sergeant Knowles: 

Born 1965 and joined the Army Cadets in 1979.  Joined the British Army as a boy soldier in 1981 and served until 1993.  Served 18 months as an Instructor Sergeant with the Goole Detachment of the Army Cadet Force.  Joined Goole Squadron late August 2007 as a CI, becoming a Sergeant (ATC) in October 2008.

 

Everyone on the Squadron is very understanding of CI Knowles and try to forgive him once being a member of the ACF.

 

 

 

A Little bit about Sqn Ldr Hill (Rtd):

Joined the Corps as a cadet with 148 (Barnsley) Squadron.

Commissioned at that Squadron and later moved to Goole as a Sqn Officer and then the CO before joining South Yorkshire Wing staff.

Upon retirement rejoined Goole Squadron as a Civilian Instructor .

 

Rumour has it that if Sqn Ldr Hill were ever to leave the Squadron the building would fall down. 

 

 

Civilian Instructor H Epton

 

 

A Little bit about CI Epton: 

CI Epton Joined the Squadron a number of years ago, when his sons were cadets.  He has since remained at the Squadron, despite his sons leaving some years ago.  He has been actively involved in sport, especially football which he has been involved in at Wing and Region levels on a frequent basis.

 

CI Epton is well known around the Squadron, usually being heard before being seen.

 

 

Civilian Instructor P Matthews

 

A Little bit about CI Matthews: 

CI Matthews joined the Squadron shortly after his son did.  Despite his son now transferring to a different Squadron and Wing CI Matthews is still based at Goole.

 

 

Civilian Instructor J Garton

 

A Little bit about CI Garton: 

CI Garton was a Cadet Warrant Officer with Goole Squadron, before aging out.  He returned a few years later as a civilian instructor.

 

This much to the dismay of some of the staff who thought they have finally get rid of him.

Civilian Instructor S Blanchard

 

A Little bit about CI Blanchard: 

CI Blanchard is the youngest member of the staff team.  A former cadet she moved away from the squadron some time ago.  However upon returning to the area and meeting the minimum age criteria for staff, she rejoined the Squadron.

 

CI Blanchard is already hard at work gaining a reputation around the Wing as a bit of a party animal.  Also for saying in-appropriate things to senior officers...
