Goole Air Cadets recently took part in the Inter-Wing Junior Football and Hockey competitions. The competitions are open to all Air Cadet Wings within the North of England, with the individual Wings selecting their best players to represent them.

Two Goole Air Cadets recently got their first taste of powered flight. 4 cadets travelled to RAF Church Fenton, where they got the opportunity to experience powered flight in the Tutor aircraft. However, it was a double celebration, as it was also the birthday of the staff member who had taken them to the station.

Goole and Askern Air Cadets recently paired up to undertake their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Expedition. Over the recent bank holiday, the cadets met up to undertake a 2 day expedition around the Askern area.

Air Cadets came together recently for the first Askern Squadron Field Day. The event was open to all Squadrons within Sector 2 of South and West Yorkshire Wing and saw the cadets take part in 5-a-side football, volley ball, initiative exercises, air rifles shooting, tug of war and even ice cream eating, though the latter was a spontaneous event for the staff.

Air Cadets from Askern and Goole Squadrons recently came together to undertake Heartstart training. The Heartstart course teaches the cadets basic emergency life support, such as CPR, how to deal with chokings, severe bleeding and what to do if you suspect someone is suffering from a heart attack.
