Ever since RAF Finningly closed and the RAF International Air Show moved to RAF Waddington, 2357 (Goole) Squadron have been an active part of it.
When
the air show was located at RAF Finningly (Now Doncaster/Sheffield Robin
Hood international airport), Goole Squadron administered the disabled
enclosure, helping the visitors and providing catering. When the show
moved in 1995, we were asked to move with it. Since 1995 we have attended
the air show every year, with our staff and cadets and run the Disabled
Persons Enclosure. The cadets all have a great time, despite all the
hard work they do, and our efforts always seem greatly appreciated by all.
2009
marked our 15th
year at the Waddington International air show, a feet we are all proud of
and one that has been recognised this year on the official website:
"Cadets and staff from 2357 (Goole) Squadron, Air Training Corps, will be in attendance. They have looked after our guests in this enclosure since the first show in 1995 and take pride in their considerable experience."
